Introduction
Hello everyone,
I am B.D. Suever. For a while now I have been writing and getting multiple ideas down on paper trying to come up with a novel to have published. Interestingly enough I found I am better at writing short stories as opposed to a full fledged novel. Add to that I feel that short stories are a good way to start out before diving right in to a novel.
My goal here is to write for the world to see and hope that those who read my work enjoy it enough to come back for more.
Recent;y I had a daughter and she has become the inspiration for my new ideas for my short stories work. I used to delve in to horror and psychological thrillers but I found myself becoming stuck in my writing and having difficulty fleshing out good characters that draw the readers in. I mean if the writer can't even be invested in his characters than something must be wrong with them right?
Anyway with the addition of my little girl to our family I started diving in to the fantasy genre for some reason and have enjoyed not only reading it but writing about it and creating a whole other world for these characters to play in. I find it a lot more fun to build he entire world from scratch rather than create a story in an already existing one. Gives me more freedom to create the way I want and add rules I feel would play into this world.
In closing I want to say hello to you all and I hope you enjoy my writing. I always welcome criticism so please if you feel something is off then do tell and I will work on making the next iteration much better. Of course when giving criticism please be honest but don't be a jerk about it. There really is no need for that.
The first part in what I hope to be a long series of short stories generated in this world will be posted momentarily. Please enjoy and I hope to hear from you.
